Nonno's Cajun Cuisine & Pastries: Reviews & Ratings
The chef was the best, very kind and polite staff. Made me feel like I was at home. Southern hospitality at its finest. Delicious home cooked food cinnamon raisin french toast was terrific. 10/10 will return.
I will return again to try more items on the menu, to see how the vibe is when there are other patrons dining, and to feel the late night vibes. I ordered three seafood eggrolls. They were good I just didn’t understand the dollop of nacho cheese on them. Crab meat and shrimp were fresh and I could see the crawfish tails. I wasn’t offered to sit nor was I offered a menu, I just grabbed one. Made the assumption that even though they were empty they didn’t necessarily want me to dine in because no one asked me if I wanted to dine in.The owner sat outside and he greeted me coming in and going out which was a nice touch to the experience. Customer service was average. If you are in the 7th ward I do suggest stopping by. The drinks look good on TikTok and some people are calling it a local, better, and black owned Ruby Slipper.
This was my first time here, didn’t even know it was right around the corner from my house. I loved the how beautiful it was on the inside and outside. My server Brandon was amazing, so thank you for having such great service. Everything my friend ordered, they were out of which the server wasn’t aware of and I don’t think it was his fault. We both got the catfish plates which included a small salad, 1 piece of catfish, and small basket of fries. My total was 60 dollars and of course I tipped but it was not worth that price! It was good, but not that good to be 24.99 a plate with that of a small of a portion. The server was the part of our visit that we enjoyed the most, he even entertained us with a card trick.
Step into a cute, friendly establishment at Nonnos. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent! This neighborhood gem is nestled in the heart of a community. Plenty of people around waking. Dogs, sharing conversations.
This was my first time at Nonno's and it was a great experience. I ordered the catfish and it was good. It was a thin piece of fish but it was seasoned very well. My wife and sister-in-law got the roast beef po boy and they said it was amazing. The staff was very friendly. Overall great experience.
The service was good, Atmosphere, music was to a nice setting great vibe. Waitress was nice and helpful. I ordered oysters Rockefella they was a 7 out of 10 no taste but they was good
Food nicely presented. Got the shrimp with grits and it was not that good. Grits didn’t have any flavor by themselves. There’s other nola grits that are worth trying. Asked server for a few more minutes to order but came back like 8 minutes later. There was only two groups dining in the morning. Did not specify it was breakfast menu only and server looked a bit annoyed when we didn’t order breakfast options. There’s overall good reviews so we probably just got a bad day. Will give them a shot again. A bit expensive for the food and location.
